If you're in the mood for a quick meal, this place will satisfy. If you're in the mood for good food, not so much! It's just fair here. Good selections at the salad bar but if you are looking for a healthy meal, visit a supermarket and pickup the same things for lots less money. They do have some hot dishes too, but nothing you can't live without.

Oh Sweet Tomatoes. I go back forth here with my experiences here, and it mostly depends on my mood as I think the offerings and service are pretty consistent. I have a friend who absolutely loves salad bars, and where she lives they don't have a Sweet Tomatoes, so I knew with her visit we would have to come. I wasn't opposed. To me the positives of Sweet Tomatoes are: *The garlic dressing (LOVE it) *The careful labeling of their food. I've recently given up meat and it's a little stressful to try to figure out what has chicken broth in it (even vegetable soups do pretty often), but at Sweet Tomatoes they label the vegetarian offerings clearly *The mac and cheese....I love mac and cheese in any form For me the negatives aren't glaring, it's a good place for what it is, but it's a soup salad and breadstick bar essentially. Unless you are just having a small salad don't trick yourself into thinking it's healthy. You could easily put away a thousand calories here. I wouldn't go here without a coupon as even with the coupon I question the value of my meal. Especially if you get the fountain drink with it it could become a $12 lunch without that coupon (the strawberry lemonade is pretty good). I did notice that they have a reasonably price to go combo which includes salad and a soup, so I will need to remember that option for work lunches. With pre portioned containers I worry less about the calories. I will say that the service we received for lunch at this location on this particular day was excellent. Our server was very sweet keeping or area very clean and making sure we were happy with everything.

Always fresh fresh fresh salad makings. Like their soups too. I have eaten here at least 100 times. Good muffins and breads. I like this buffet where I can pick out exactly what I want

This is a well run store. Given the name, I'm surprised how difficult is to find an actual tomato. There is usually a small bowl of tomato chunks and that's it. Recently the drink glasses have suffered a downsizing as have the plates, which upsizes the inconvenience level for customers. But I'm being picky.

Got bored of this place on my second visit. They are clean, the food is decent, but its only a salad bar. Other than that its all carbs. I would prefer to get these food items from Publix.

Don't fool yourself, you AIN'T going to eat healthy here! The salad buffet it normally fully stocked and fresh. The "sneeze guards" are low enough to make me want to believe that I'm 85% safe from gross people's germs. They always have a different "specialty" salad you can try, so that's kind of cool. The soups are generally AWESOME! One of my favorites is the wild mushroom, which I think is one they do only in spring. They change it up a lot but always have the staples of soups: chicken noodle. It's always very hearty! The blueberry muffins are great, the pizza is great, the pasta dishes..ehhhh, the kids like them, me, not so much. Dessert is good; ice cream, jello, cookies. They always send out coupons so in general, the whole fam can eat here for like $25!

I really was disappointed and not impressed here. The idea sounded great and the salad bar does offer quite a lot of options but beyond that this place is lame. It's a combination and carb and sugar overload and there really isn't much at all healthy about it. The soups were bland and the hot food selection was pretty sad. Desert options were ok. There is no meat here and I was hungry again shortly after. The raspberry hibiscus tea was the best thing they had! Definitely won't go back again.

I'm not a huge fan of salad and less of a fan of salad bars. I will say they put on a huge spread. Every time I find myself here I end up gravitating towards the soups, breads & pasta area, hence killing the whole idea of eating "healthy". The soups are really good, go for the think soups, more filling and more calories! We cant forget the "Ice Cream Machine", probably the best part. Make sure to grab a soup bowl and not one of the small ice cream cups. Fill the bowl and then cover it with chocolate or caramel or both. Throw in some peanuts, sprinkles and Oreo pieces and you have an almost perfect desert. The do keep the serving areas very clean, considering the amount of traffic they get.

If you're a carnivore there's nothing here for you. It is soup, salad, pasta and bread. That's it. Oh, and desert yogurt and muffins. It's like carb overload. I'm not sure what the other reviewers are talking about but I never saw pizza there. There's this bread there that's really good but it's not pizza. The last time I went I was disappointed that they didn't have any soup that I like so all I end up eating is salad and bread. I was hungry shortly after. Don't get me wrong the salad bar is good it's just I wish they had more food options. The BEST thing about sweet tomatoes is their strawberry lemonade. It is to die for!! I would make a special trip just to get this it's that good. Overall a good but not great experience.

We've gone to Sweet Tomatoes several times. The most recent visit, we got plates that were dirty (food left on them), the salad bar was not as fresh as it used to be. The pastas were NOT good - overall, probably will not go back

You get what you pay for here. Buffet of salad and soup (+ pasta, bread, and potatoes as needed). Used to be less expensive and include drink, now even with coupon, rather pricey for what you get. I enjoy it because at least you can eat somewhat healthy and it's rather clean especially for a buffet restaurant.

This is a great, healthier alternative to the traditional buffet. It is a salad, soup, and bakery buffet experience. Everything is made fresh on the premises and there is a whole lot of variety. A unique feature of this establishment is that they have "flavor themes," so every month they feature new food options. They offer about 3 premade salads, such as Caesar and Asian peanut, and they also have the typical "build your own" salad bar with all the fixings, including sliced butternut squash, which I found to be unique. They usually have about 8 soup options, my favorites being the creamy tomato soup and the rosemary potato soup. They also offer several baked breads, like cornbread and asiago focaccia, and a variety of pastas. For dessert they offer ice cream, cookies, and muffins. This is a place that I will definitely continue to frequent, especially since it is inexpensive and there are always extra coupons in the Sunday papers.

My grandaughter and I usually go to Sweet Tomato in Boca Raton. Recently, we met friends at the Coral Springs location and I found the salad ingredients were fresh, crisp and even had a stricking aroma. I enjoy the atmostphere and the variety of soups offered. The choice of pasta's are the same in all Sweet Tomatos, the freshness isn't always the same. The only thing I would complain about is the seating is a little awkward and it does not have as much seating as Boca's Resturant.

This place used to be bad but I must say they have improved!!! I went there a couple months ago with my bf and they added more fresh selections on the salad bar. They also have an additional grilled chicken and artichoke bar too(it cost $2.99 extra) which they shouldn't charge for in my opinion. The soup needs improvement on selections though, I cannot review anything else because I eat Paleo only, so no breads or starches for me. Overall, a better experience then the last.

Always fresh..great desserts..Great value..service is usually great..delicious soups..one of my fav places..Sunday breakfast is pretty good too..when they have French onion soup and apple cobbler it's great..for the price freshness variety it dosnt get much better could be a little better quality when it comes to pasta but that's being picky..they desperately need bowls for the salads though

i'm not usually a fan of salad bars or buffest or anything where the food is out in mass quanitites and you have to serve yourself, but this place is a nice change from the usual Ruby Tuesdays-type salad bar. For about $7, you get unlimited salad bar, soup bar, pasta bar, and dessert. The salad bar was quite long and had every imaginable ingredient you could want. The soups all looked so delicious that I couldn't decide. I settled on the Turkey Herb. It tasted like Thanksgiving in a bowl! Delicious! They even had stuffing that you could add in. The fresh baked focaccia was a nice side to my salad and the fat-free frozen yogurt was dee-lish. They have all the accoutraments for a make-your-own-sundae fest.

This was the second Sweet Tomatoes that I have been to. The salad bar is great, very long and a great selection of toppings for your salad. The salad bar also has some pre-made options. After building your salad you check out at the register. I got a drink with my meal. When I got to the soda fountain machine I was disappointed that they only had caffeine free diet coke. It just seemed weird that that was what they would carry. They also have some lemonades and iced teas, as well as hot coffee. They have a selection of about 8 soups. I tried two of them. Both had good flavor. There were 3 pasta options, I opted for the mac and cheese. For me the Mac and cheese tastes good, but it is a little "runny." The hot bar after the salad bar has limited options. They also have a soft serve ice cream machine and toppings bar. Who doesn't love self-serve soft-serve?! The busser who was clearing our plates from the table was very friendly and attentive. He was great! The only thing I find really strange about all sweet tomatoes is their set up. It seems strange to go through the salad bar and THEN pay. I've never tried to go back to the salad bar, I assume they would let you, but it would be awkward. I don't know why the registers aren't just at the front of the store.

This place sucks! And I am so extremely disappointed. Here this place has the opportunity to make clean eating fun. This is not a real salad bar, this is a flordia hangout for old folks. *no disrespect intended to the elders* When I hear salad bar, I'm thinking house dressings, bright colorful fresh veggies and a variety of meats to choose from. Nope. All they got is lettuce spinach and tomatoes and some extra sad looking pastries. Can I get a piece of grilled chicken to pair with these sad looking veggies? ? A piece of grilled salmon? A steak? Shrimp SOMETHING? !?! And I'm am not a meat fanatic, but this is ridiculous! I could have made this at home! The salads here can easily be compared to something u can get at a drive thru, (if that's ur thing) I can easily go to a vegetarian spot and eat good and be happy. This place is for ppl who don't like their food to look appetizing, someone who's happy with eating boring food. I gave them 1 star, because after all they do at least have food and water...and those sad looking pastries. I won't be going bk to this place. Maybe I'm too stuck up and spoiled by the northeast to be fooled by this horrible salad bar. A true waste of time. Sorry this review is so negative, but I felt the need to warn ppl like me, new to Florida serious about her food game. This place is a LOST. Love and light to u all

Not really my kind of place. Food is basic and the ingredients for the salads was the usual items. I thought the soups were very salty and the desserts were mainly for kids. The prepared items look a little over heated from probably sitting there to long. Probably not a place we will revisit.

I'm going to be pretty biased in this review only because I've been a regular here for 5+ years and absolutely love it. I'm surprised other reviewers are giving it such low scores - it's not meant to be a 5 star restaurant (ironic considering my review stars for it, but that's not the point). This Sweet Tomatoes location is close to the cleanest one I've been to. They're constantly wiping down around the food to keep it looking nice, and the staff is very friendly and personable. Dubeer is one that I've known since I was a kid and he's always really nice to my family and I, always making sure to say hello no matter how busy he is. Since I'm such a regular there, I make sure to say hello to a few of them just because it's my second home in terms of food. I probably come here 1-2 times a week minimum because, well, I guess it's an addiction. At least it's an addiction to salad. My two small qualms with the place is that the chicken in the chicken noodle soup (my absolute favorite - never get anything else) is a bit... strange? I remember that they used to have actual chunks of chicken in there, but I think in the past year or so, they switched to another type of chicken that's a bit questionable looking - and sometimes tasting. Sometimes it's normal looking, though. Another thing is that I wish they kept a better eye on the lettuce and veggie stock in the first buffet line. For example, whenever I come over to get a generous heaping of cheese onto my plate, it's nearly finished and broken into tiny bits. Other than that though, everything always tastes delicious. Not only this, but for the price you pay (there's coupons online & physical copies every week), you can get a lot of food (that goes for to-go, as well). I mean... it is a buffet, after all. Just try to practice some self-control with the carbs since it's pretty easy to load up on 'em. Hands down my favorite place to grab a bite. Hope the bias didn't show too much.

A haiku for you: This is a buffet All you can eat rabbit food Also soup and bread

What can I say? It's pretty good food 85% of the time. In my opinion, it's a little expensive for what you are getting: carbs, carbs and more carbs. There's no meat, soups can be bland and unnecessarily fattening. Pastas are not the way to go. I indulge in the salad bar but there isn't anything too satisfying there and then I end up eating all the muffins and breads. I like it once in a while, but that's about it.

Erin L.
If you are looking for the GIANT salad bar experience - look no further. You can get as creative as you like with the variety of fresh veggies. I especially love the mushroom soup - I think it's usually only once a week, so I make sure to call ahead to see if they have it.
Very nice salad bar that had fresh ingredients but not much else to it. Place looks outdated. I happened to enjoy salads but am not much of a soup person so my choices besides the salad was very limited. So if your not a salad/soup person this place don't have much for you so not worth going unless you like soups and salads also its self serve so don't expect the people that go around cleaning up to b to friendly.

Basic salad/all you can eat place. The food is pretty decent. The salad options up front are quite good, the back-end pizza/bread/soup etc. stuff is relatively basic but not bad. Typical of the chain, and a good location compared to a lot of Sweet tomatoes / Souplantation locations. It's a little spend for what you get, but they offer coupons pretty liberally if you want to go often. IMO...load up on salad, avoid the chili, but the other soups and side items are really not bad at all.

Cafeteria style salad bar. All you can eat. The cream of tomato soup is amazing, especially if you dip the pizza bread into the soup. Deserts are decent. This location is well kept and the food is kept nice and hot!

If you are looking for the GIANT salad bar experience - look no further. You can get as creative as you like with the variety of fresh veggies. I especially love the mushroom soup - I think it's usually only once a week, so I make sure to call ahead to see if they have it.

ZERO STARS Lousy. They advertise "avocado" at the salad bar. Guess what, it's avocado "salad" already slathered with their ranch dressing. No thanks. Now, they are shredding the stalks from broccoli and displaying them julienne style and hope you'll bulk up from this garbage-filler-food. Used to be able to at least get some protein from hard boiled eggs. NO MORE my friends. They no longer offer hard boiled eggs. MOST ALL the soups are phoney baloney "gourmet" soups that are thickened with puréed ( and I imagine leftover) produce. Chicken soup tastes like paste and... chili? ....good luck finding a morsel of ground beef in there. We always put our trays at a table away from us so staff has NO EXCUSE to bother us. Small Asian lady would just NOT leave us alone. I am not paralyzed. I don't need you to get me a drink or anything. It's a BUFFET restaurant. THEN, when I leave the table for 1 minute, she brings my DIABETIC husband chocolate chip cookies. WHY do they just put things on your table and walk away, like you are a dementia patient at the senior center? I have no doubt those cookies were put on another table after the table was bussed. You are NOT getting a 20% tip at a buffet place, so just calm down and stop asking if I want something. How many times are you going to interrupt us? How many times do we have to say no? We left you a dollar per person. But you aggravated us and ruined our experience.
